This book of Revelation Study Companion has been written to explain the symbolism, imagery, and ultimately the prophecy written for God’s people today. God intends for His church to study the entire Bible including prophesy to edify the church (1 Cor 14:3-4). The prophecies in Revelation spans all of history from the resurrection of Jesus to eternity, including today’s time period! While many churches do not teach thoroughly out of this book, John begin this book by saying “blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand” (Rev 1:3). Jesus frequently prophesied of things to come, so followers of Christ should strive to study and understand those prophecies of Jesus in the Gospels and in Revelation. Christians should continue to deepen their knowledge of all of the word of God as they grow in their understanding and maturity in Christ. This study companion provides many cross references to other Bible verses to explain and support the interpretation of the symbolism and imagery in the book of Revelation. Due to the magnitude of this task, this Bible study does not provide personal life application commentary on the contents of the book of Revelation. This Study Companion has been written in reference to the King James Version of the Bible.
